Welcome to Casual Observations, a blog about the little (and not so little) phenomena all around us. Originally when I started this blog, I was aiming to chronicle the “wow, that was insightful/deep/useful” circumstances that I encounter everyday — hence the name of the blog. But as the blog evolves, I find myself sharing more of what I’ve learned in life as well as my feelings and thoughts on things that are happening around me. Along the way, I’ve used this blog to both chronicle my thoughts and feelings as well as notate things in my life that are worth noting.
I have high hopes that one day I will turn some of my writings here into a book, but for now, I will continue to share my life with all my readers. In return, I hope you will share your thoughts with me as well via your comments.

I have been reading your blogs and admire what you are conveying to readers. We are launching a fun kid’s web show that touches on many different environmental issues in line with the topics you focus on. If you’re open to it, I would love to share information about our show with you. I am hoping that you might want to include this and future issues we explore in your blog.
“Gorilla in the Greenhouse” is a humorous, web-based animated show that inspires kid to take real-world action on the environment. The show is set in a mystical greenhouse in San Francisco, featuring a visionary green gorilla and four kids who use their imagination, their network and their music to tackle the environmental challenges facing their generation. The production is created by SF green media company SustainLane, animated by Free Range Studios (creators of the Meatrix and Story of Stuff) and produced by Alligator Planet, home of Academy Award Nominated Director Eli Noyes and producer Ralph Guggenheim, a founding member of Pixar who also produced “Toy Story”.
The pilot episode is about an island of plastic bags gathering in the North Pacific, that the kids go out to explore. The show will launch on Earth Day, April 22nd 2008. Following that it will be available to watch on our home site http://www.greengorilla.com. Closer to the time, I would like to send you a press release with more information and a sneak preview.
If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know. Also please let me know if this is this a good email to contact you.
Thanks and best regards,
