I met a wise man once who asked me the following question: If I knew today was my last day on earth, what would I do? Caught off guard, I uttered a few incoherent words which resulted in a puzzling stare.
“Not good enough,” he said to me. “Try again!”
So I took a deep breath to compose my thoughts. After a few minutes (although it felt like an eternity), I said to him, “I think I would write down my thoughts and my life time of learning and share them with the world.”
There is nothing particularly important or significant about my thoughts or my learning. I happen to think and reflect a lot, and life is more meaningful when you can pass on what you’ve learned. So here I am, writing this blog.
My pledge to you is to publish two new posts a week although I promise to share more as time permits.
So just who am I? My name is Ceres Chua, and I am a marketer by trade. During the day, I work at a Bay Area company. By night (and on my free time), I like to engage in conversations ranging from philosophy to psychology to economics. Feel free to leave me a note in the comment section. I promise to read every single comment and respond accordingly.
And if you so feel incline, you can also email me at: casualobs@gmail.com.

Hi Ceres,
I too upgraded to the iPodTouch from a 3rd Gen iPod. Mine came as a Christmas present from my wife.
I share much of your enthusiasm with the Touch. I probably use it more to access the Internet and as a PDA than I do listening to music. I have found in my area (suburban Pittsburgh) that accessing the Internet is not as difficult as I thought it would be. I am finding Wi-Fi access points in just about every store and shopping mall I enter. In fact hotspots are turning up in places I never suspected. Just the other day I discovered one in the bakery I go to at least once a week.
Unfortunately, the place I would like to use it the most is still not accessible to me. I am an associate professor of IST at Penn State University and even though most of the campus is wired for Wi-Fi access, it is also “protected” with a Cisco VPN. Unfortunately the VPN client that comes with the Touch is not compatible with Cisco VPN (I know — I’ve been trying for weeks to get it to work) and an iPodTouch version Cisco VPN client is not yet available. But there is hope on the horizon. The recently released iPhone/iPodTouch SDK does contain a Cisco VPN client framework so the Cisco VPN client should appear before too long.
Looking forward to your future observations on the Touch.
Best,
Galen

Ceres,
I just happened to stumble upon your blog this morning and enjoyed reading your “About the author” page. You made a comment that there was nothing important of significant about your thoughts…I disagree. I enjoy people like yourself who take the time to look at the simple things in life and take note.
Don’t underestimate the value of your thoughts. Passing on the little things that you learn along the journey through life may fly right over most peoples heads, but for those of us (like yourself), we enjoy your outlook.
I’m going to add you to my blogroll, and I look forward to reading more of your “insight”. Keep it comming!
Cheers,
Jason Ast

Brian Miller, M.D.
Hello Ceres,
I was surfing the Web and found you by chance. I am the Brian Miller that you went to Emory with more than 10 years ago. I am now a practicing anesthesiologist in the West Palm Beach, Florida area. Drop me an e-mail to catch up on things. The last thing I knew about you was that you were going to Boston University in the medical scientist training program. Now you’re in marketing! I’m getting an MBA in Healthcare from GW myself.
Anyway, I hope that life has treated you well. Take care,
Brian

Dear Ceres Chua
My moment of decision to start writing my life moments and memories down came when the doctors told me that I had a year or less to live. Even though you and I had somewhat different motivations in writing down our life experiences we still write. I like your article and also like the fact that we can blog and put our thoughts out there. I saw you link on my blog as having an article similar to the one I had written, so here I am reading your fine article and the great comments attached. I wonder why I had not blogged earlier. My blog is at http://papottsy.wordpress.com/ If you care to read any of my articles. I don’t have many yet but will have more as time rolls on
